The film site that sent viewers straight to the cinema
The official site for Akademia Pana Kleksa. It grew alongside the production: from the first conversations with the filmmakers to the premiere, when a showtimes finder sent viewers straight to the cinema.
- Showtimes finder
- every cinema, one click
- Teaser to premiere
- the site grew with the production
- From the first logo
- work began before any material came back from set

Context
Kleks Academy is the official site for Akademia Pana Kleksa, a film Maciej Kawulski directed from the Jan Brzechwa novel for Open Mind Production, distributed by Next Film. I built this at DEVS House together with the team. Scope: site branding, UX, UI and the build in Webflow.
Challenge
Work started before the first material came back from set. The starting points were conversations with the filmmakers and an early version of the film logo. The site had to grow alongside the production: from the teaser, through cast and crew, to a full release campaign.
Solution
I built a dark, cinematic design around the film identity, with sections for the cast, the crew and the release partners.

A showtimes finder landed in time for the premiere: a viewer typed in their city and saw which cinema was playing the film.

Result
The site went into the release campaign complete: identity, cast, crew and partners were in place before promotion started. The showtimes finder closed the gap between the ad and the ticket, because a viewer left the site with the name of a cinema in their own city.
